Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) approved a draft law for regulating brokerage in granting or collecting financing for micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) through the introduction of a registry for those willing to work in the sector.
Financial brokers who act as intermediaries between MSME financial institutions and MSME customers will have to be registered in the FRA's registry to resume their operations, the FRA's Chairman, Mohamed Omran, said in a statement on Wednesday.
Another registry will be established for professional guarantors for MSME customers, Omran added.
